I found these amusing, and had to share.

Ummm... who did they join the 250,000 mile high club with? ;)
It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth.
I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth.
I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.

Yeah, that one kind of got me, too.  Because "Mile High Club" doesn't just mean you've been a mile above sea level, or even a mile above the surface.

There's a "manual control" joke in here somewhere...

And we fly straight into the sexual innuendo faster than a shuttle clearing the launch pad.   :P

Reference to the Mile High Club means we started there.

Sex jokes are really pretty rare.  British comedy and sci-fi references are generally preferred.

So, is that a Red Dwarf in your pocket, or are ya just happy to see me?

My gods. You hit all 3 with one sentence.

Mrs. Gnomon was a bit concerned when I started watching RD with the kids on netflix. I explained that I'd rather the kids learn sexual innuendo from good British comedy. She left me alone after that.
