For many reasons I am not too active anymore on YouTube. Today I was there again and the short video I made really surprised me. Can you imagine I enjoyed my OWN video...?
Please watch the footage, listen to my music and the voices of Alan Bean, Gene Cernan, Michael Collins, Charlie Duke, Jim Lovell, Harrison Schmitt, Dave Scott and John Young.

"Truth Needs no Defence"
- Gene Cernan
Also enjoyed hearing Carl Sagan again in "Gift of Apollo"

Can you list the names of the astronauts in the order that they speak? I believe nr. 2 was Jim Lovell?
-
OK.
00:17 Michael Collins
00:59 Jim Lovell
01:43 Dave Scott
01:59 John Young
02:30 Alan Bean
03:03 Michael Collins
03:23 Alan Bean
04:07 Alan Bean
04:14 Michael Collins
04:21 Dave Scott
04:25 Michael Collins
04:36 Charlie Duke
04:44 Gene Cernan
Part of the video is coming from In The Shadow Of The Moon documentary. But ... where the heck is the voice of Dr. Harrison Schmitt..? I think I mentioned him in the video, but he appears in the documentary only, not in my video.
Damn.

I only got these ones (didn't pick Mike Collins the second two times, probably due to the quick succession of the last few voices.

Allright, here is the entire documentary:
Start watching (and listening) from 1:33:50.

History Channel is currently re-running "In the Shadow of the Moon" in NZ and Australia. Also, several other programmes related to moon landings (probably due to this being July) including a fascinating one called "Tank on the Moon" about the Soviet Lunokhod programme.
-
Oh yes, I saw the latter on Youtube. Gives you an idea of what an achievement sending a rover on the moon was back then, and what a truly successful program it was.

What a great video Rob, it was wonderful to hear the humility of the astronauts. I wish the leaders of the worlds could take note of the words, and I wish the conspiracy theorists would also think about the legacy. That legacy is well framed in your video.

What a great video Rob
Thank you!
