Title: Nice in here isn't it.

Don't make a mess on the new carpet and mind the paintwork.

"Captaion" Swoop?  Are you a doppelganger, an evil twin, or fat-fingered?  Welcome.

By the way, I just realized that your thread title could very easily be followed with, "Be a shame if something happened to it."

It's lovely. But give it a couple of months, it'll be full of reference books left open on all available surfaces, and pizza delivery receipts with orbital calculations on the back.

These are much better premises than the last, and it seems a shame that the woos have already stunk the place out with the smell of crazy.

The old place had that cozy "lived in" feel, but I do like the spiffy new look. And I guess with a name like ApolloHoax.net, we have to expect some woos are going to be drawn in, like moths to a flame. Burn 'em I say! ;D

How else can we discuss hoax theories?  The board  is far more entertaining when the woos are here.

Yes, somewhat..

So shall we invite fattydash/Patrick/Dastardly/etc/etc back?  He's now active at abovetopsecret (http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread835747/pg1), after he got shunted from jref.

Hmmmmm, maybe not...

So shall we invite fattydash/Patrick/Dastardly/etc/etc back?

He was given ample opportunity to have his say about a moon hoax.  The fact is that after we indulged him for plenty of time and he had nothing but personal prejudices to bring to the discussion, so he has nothing more to add to the board.

Now though we know from experience that hoax believers really have nothing more than personal prejudices, if we are to have a hoax discussion board, we must invite each new believer in in order to make the individual prejudices obvious, or until their behavior justifies banishment.

edited for clarity

Well, I think at this point, we must assume that the chances of a hoax proponent bringing well-supported, logical arguments is pretty low. Not zero, but we must consider the subject, which makes such things difficult.

Patrick was interesting, in that he did seem to have more interest in scientific details than most proponents, and didn't just go over the same old list from Cosmic Dave et al. He did stimulate some good discussion in the rebuttals. His obsession with the topic is worrying, though.
