Title: Helping Graham With Homework
Post by: gillianren on July 24, 2012, 02:03:25 AM
Graham is in English 102.  I have a generally low opinion of his teacher for a long list of reasons, but one thing I do approve of is that he has to do a presentation on logical fallacies.  Specifically slippery slope and appeal to emotion, for some reason.  I know there are good sites out there about them, but I don't seem to have any of them bookmarked.  (I did go to Wikipedia, and I read him the entire text of "if-by-whiskey."  Which has nothing to do with his project but is awfully funny.)  Does anyone have any favourites?

I really like this one: http://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/

Graham might also like this: http://leftycartoons.com/slippery-slopes/

Given that one of those is exactly the argument I used to demonstrate what "slippery slope" means, I think he'll appreciate it.  Thank you!
