Ralph Rene - Last Skeptic of Science
« on: February 18, 2014, 01:58:51 PM »
Not wishing to pay hard earned cash for Ralph Rene's 'Last Skeptic of Science', I have been hoping that someone would upload a copy of his 'book' on the internet. Seems my wait is over.

If anyone is interested in reading his masterpiece, then PM me and I can help you out.

For me it puts the final pieces of the jigsaw together, particularly given that Ralph completes a calculation by computing the square root of 0 to be infinity.

It's almost as good as NASA Mooned America and really is damming evidence regarding every aspect of Ralph. I guess no surprises there, but it's kind of reassuring to understand that he is as barking as originally thought.

That the force that holds the Solar System together is electrostatic.

What?
If you're not a scientist but you think you've destroyed the foundation of a vast scientific edifice with 10 minutes of Googling, you might want to consider the possibility that you're wrong.

What does he say?

Chew's link gives an overall synopsis, but his claims include that the world is top heavy and should roll over. Ralph is correct in his assertion that the world does not roll over, but his explanation is that it must be held in place by electromagnetic bearings that he calls Rene bearings.

He reviews the whole field of tectonic plates and essentially discredits the idea of volcanoes forming at faults in the Earth's crust, claiming instead that their formation is due to electric currents.

His critique of Einstein and Newton is a shambles, as he appears to argue that Einstein's theories of relativity are a cover up by the scientific community to patch up Newton's 'incorrect' theories. He even discredits Newton's Principia as being wrong. Odd how he invokes those laws when calling foul on Apollo 13.

He makes a critique of the standard model of particle physics and clearly has no understanding of what he is talking about. He correctly identifies the particle zoo but then adds that he hasn't even begun to talk about fermions and bosons (oh dear, to go into that here would take paragraphs). He's just plucking words that he has read from books to sound erudite.

I'm going to take some time looking at his claims and if time permits, and if I can be bothered put together a website. I'm not sure I want to waste anymore time, but I feel that a well constructed website that pulls apart Ralph's alternative science might complement those people that have pulled apart his idiotic Apollo rubbish, demonstrating that he was a crackpot that really shouldn't be taken seriously.

The guy's been dead over 5 years now. While I'm sure his family and friends remember him, there's certainly no reason for anyone else to remember his crackpot ideas. Why do we still have to debunk him? Are there still that many who give him credence?

No doubt they'll protest shrilly (shilly?) that it's unfair to attack a dead man who can't defend himself. Right before they go on to accuse Neil Armstrong of lying about seeing (or is it not seeing?) stars on the moon.

If the words are still out there, how much does it matter if the person who spoke them is dead?

That sounds philosophical.

My answer is that no, it does not, if people still believe them and it is the words themselves (or the claims made using them) which are being discussed and refuted.

That pi is equal 3.146264...

Compared to his other nonsense, that's surprisingly accurate...

He what?!?

Goodness, did he have an explanation about why people in the Southern hemisphere do not fall off the planet?

They are probably stuck to the Earth by Rene Shoes.  ;)
