Apollo Hoax Site Running slowly
« on: April 18, 2019, 07:24:44 PM »
Is it just me or is the site running extremely slowly today?  Pages are taking a minute or more to load.

It is this way on three browsers across two computers and other websites are unaffected.

Thanks, Echnaton. I'm aware of the problem and I'm looking into it.
It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth.
I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth.
I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.

That message was because I enabled a security feature that is supposed to prevent DDoS attacks because I thought maybe that is why the site is slow. But it didn't seem to make a difference.

Its very slow for me.

Every function (click reply, click on a thread etc) takes 1-2 min to execute, and sometimes I get a timeout error

It seems to be back to normal. I didn't receive a reply from my web host, so I don't know what the problem was (but at least I know I can't rely on my host to respond to support tickets).
