Title: Happy Holidays
Post by: bknight on December 25, 2015, 01:32:06 PM
Happy holidays to all my new acquaintances and your families from a guy who wandered in here to learn.

Thank you.  I have sent my son to his father's family Christmas with his grandmother (Graham had to work) and am reveling in some alone time.  I may get up and do some sewing for myself in a bit, or I may stay here watching whatever movies I want to.  It's about the only present I've gotten this year so far (my family's gathering is on the third, the day before my mom's seventy-second birthday), but it's a nice one.

Merry Christmas to all.  We celebrated opening presents, eating too much turkey and going to see Star Wars.

I'm very happy with one particular T-shirt I received as a present:

Hand drawn picture of the LM on the Moon.

Above it is the caption: "We were there"

Below it is the caption: "Get over it"

That is about as obscurely Apollo geeky as one's clothing can get.  I want mine with an image of the appropriate Apollo CM panel on it.

While it omits "Keep Calm," there already is a shirt.

In a roundabout way, a search for an image brought me back to Apollohoax on this thread from a year ago.

And one can see the SCE Toggle that Al Bean remembered.  Definitely a geeky T-Shirt.  :)

I like it better without the "keep calm"; I think that formation is overdone.

Maybe now, but a year ago it was very in vogue.

But I was really just starting to warm up to it.
