When did the ISS have a round array like that pictured above, if at all?
I can't find the original of the photo, only postings at a couple of blog sites.

If you look closely, the circular array is a lot more noisy with harder contrast than the rest of the image.

I think the gun turrets are a recent addition too.

With a bit of determined googling, it appears it's a "speculatively militarised" space station.

Believe it or not, this was cited in a YouTube comment thread as a real picture of the ISS.... and the blog entry above says picture "Courtesy of NASA" (!)

I should have added that original, non-'shopped, photo I posted above is indeed the ISS, taken during the STS-111 assembly mission in June 2002.
