A article shared by Eric Jones...

Can see the hoax crowd jumping on this one, claiming that NASA is destroying evidence. :D
But seriously there must be a way of safeguarding the samples, I would think that water would be the main culprit. There must be a way of keeping moisture out of the samples.. ? It would seem that even samples kept in Nitrogen have been compromised.

That is unexpected and yes the HB crowd BUT how can samples from an alleged program disappear?

Ever read 'Moonseed'? Hopefully, that is *not* what is happening here, *shiver*

I guess we'll just have to go back to get more.

If that were only true.

I was born in 1975, so I missed out on all the fun. I know a lot of people would rather NASA focus on going to Mars, but I really want to see people on the Moon in my lifetime.

I believe that the Moon should be first to get the ball rolling. Beyond that we will use the experience for missions to Mars. I witnessed live on TV the wonders of the program. It was sad to see it go.

Oh, please don't mention that book. I prefer to read Chaikin's A Man on the Moon, Lebedev's Diary of a Cosmonaut, O'Leary's The Making of an Ex-Astronaut and Tootell's All Four Engines Have Failed in their original forms.

That was, um, certainly a reaction. Care to elaborate?

:-)
Sure.
I've started a new thread down in the General section of the forum, as the discussion isn't relevant to this thread.

It seems that Russians are seriously interested in getting to the moon. They have concrete robotic mission plan in 2024 and there are discussions of human travel possibly even with a Lunar base within 20 years.
