Know your Aussie slang...
« on: January 26, 2017, 09:04:52 AM »
26 January is Australia Day - an excuse for a public holiday and engaging in various summery Australian activities.

So how good is your knowledge of Australian slang? Try this quiz on the Australian ABC website: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-01-26/australian-slang-quiz/8213498

And sadly I'm apparently not completely True Blue - I only got 9 out of 10.

Bonza Sheila!!

Q: How do you know if an Aussie is on the level?

A: He's dribbling out of both corners of his mouth at the same time.

Happy Australia Day to all my brethren over the ditch on the West Island!!

10/10 but the last one was a lucky guess; never heard of a Mollydooker before.
