The greatest irony of this silly claim is that there are indeed machine parts at about 80 sites on the Moon - but they are all ours.

By "ours" I assume you mean human, not necessarily American...

I do wonder whether any of the parts at most of those ~80 sites are even recognizable. An impact of several km/s is pretty violent...

I see all space achievements as primarily the achievements of humanity rather than any one nation.

They are still machine parts even if not visually recognisable.  Their chemistry and context will also say they are artificial.

About 30 sites would be either soft landings, low velocity impacts, or dispersed artefacts from soft landings.
