Anybody watch the movie Interstellar?  In the movie, the daugher gets expelled from school because she believes that NASA went to the moon.  She had a book about NASA and the moon landings.  The teacher explains to the dad that it was a hoax and that the textbooks have now omitted anything about the NASA moon landings.

Great movie, I like that rewriting of history moment.

I gulped when that came along.   It was a way convenient and relevant way to set up the dystopian society, and the movie ultimately didn't over play the government conspiracy in control of everything idea as I briefly feared it would. I really enjoyed the movie.
