I will now go check out the International Skeptics Forum, as I don't believe I have ever visited there.

It's an interesting forum; you should check it out.

Though at the ISF, there is constant whining about unfair moderation, usually from the same five or six suspects, with two especially egregious whingers. Still, I like to hang out there in a few of the forums.

The ISF moderation is at times inconsistent in my opinion, but I've managed to keep my whine at a minimum as there is no cheese to go with it there.

That was an interesting thread.  When he said his area of expertise which qualified him to have an informed opinion on the environment in space was his brief training as electrician on a nuclear powered submarine, I had to leap to the defense of the reputation of enlisted Navy Nukes everywhere.    I wonder what his USS Tunny shipmates think of him?  They are better off not knowing I think.

Didn't he claim to have served on a 637 and then someone else who served on the same class kept tripping him up on stuff he should have known? Am I thinking of the right poster here?

That thread is closed now. Having followed along, though, it did make me wonder just why it is that the moon hoax crowd cannot grok 3d spatial reasoning at all. It seems to be a common flaw in  them. Thye cannot fathom that the VARBs are toroids, so it is entirely possible to avoid the worst of them, that orbits happily can and do have different orbital planes, The orbit of the moon is not directly overhead the equator, the orbit of the Sun is not directly over the equatore. Nope. Any moon mission must somehow fire off at the moon in a straight line. Because reasons.

I'm glad it closed as TF was going in circles like a troll, just wanting attention.  I got a PM from grant hutchison that Tim was at Quora calling himself an "information analysist" same a LF said in that thread.  He passed that information onto the mods, not sure if it will do any good.

Yep. In a moment of frustration with such idiotic misapprehension, I once asked if the crank was actually claiming that it was impossible to insert a digit into the centre of a ring donut. No answer.
