I'm new to the forum
« on: July 28, 2015, 02:35:03 PM »
Hello!

I am new to this forum, but I am certainly not new to thy types of discussions people have here.  First thing's first, I should say that I believe that the Moon landing really happened as that is quite an important detail.  I have been quite active on the Flat Earth Society forum where the Moon landing is not widely accepted which is one of the many obvious things you have to deny to believe that Earth is flat.  I have an ant and a brother who believed that the Moon landing was a hoax, past tense because I persuaded them otherwise.  Granted my ant isn't a die hard conspiracy theorist and by brother is open minded, and I'm sure that the people here wouldn't believe in the Moon landings even if they themselves walked n the Moon and saw the original landing sites.

Anyways, I am looking forward to getting to know everyone.  Cheers.

You might have misunderstood the purpose and general attitude of the board. The regulars here do know the moon landings were real. Now and then a hoax believer wanders in, thinking he can bedazzle us with the usual nonsense, but they usually follow the same receipe - unsubstantiated claims, bad science, bad language, ban or flounce.
Well, it is like this: The truth doesn't need insults. Insults are the refuge of a darkened mind, a mind that refuses to open and see. Foul language can't outcompete knowledge. And knowledge is the result of education. Education is the result of the wish to know more, not less.

I know that this forum was made by people who believed that the Moon really happened.  Even in the Flat Earth Society forum the round earthers outnumber the flat earthers.

Welcome to the forum. Even without hoax believers to debate, this is a great place to learn stuff. Enjoy yourself. :)

Welcome to the forum. The person that made the forum was a hoax believer, but he was turned around by people posting here. As Jason said, it is a great place to learn things, and also a great platform to be inspired and go find new things out. I've read and joined in the conversations here, and found myself going down routes that have taken me new places.

At least he had an open mind and listened to the evidence.  Most of those I have run across are foul mouthed "kids" that will not accept any science, math or logic proving the Moon landings occurred.  It is difficult to deal with that kind of mentality.

I had a look at that. My impression was that most of the contributors there knew full well that they were posting baloney just for the heck of it.

You were brave going into the mouth of a jackal to read those comments.
