Ah a British National Inquirer!

The NT News?

http://www.ntnews.com.au/

No, it's Australian. NT here means the Northern Territory, the central northern region of Australia, including cities like Darwin and Alice Springs and natural sights like Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kakadu National Park.

Incidentally, in (tropical) Darwin at the moment it's coming to the end of the dry season, when the Crazy is at its worst.

No I was referring to the Sunday Sport, sorry for the confusion.

...the Sunday Sport (remember the WWII Bomber found on the moon?)...
An amateur astronomer I know recognised the bit of the moon in the picture and worked out that the bomber would need a wingspan of about 100km if the picture was genuine.  He wrote to the Sunday Sport pointing this out.

He was somewhat aggrieved when they didn't publish his letter.

It's close to the best time of year to be there at present.  Things only go a bit crazy come the wet season, not for another three months, give or take.

For those not from Oz, NT is Australia's Alaska.  Make of that what you will.....

So the crazy time begins with a celebration of rains?  Rather like a hyper rain dance?

Only very hot instead of very cold.

Been there just once, briefly passing through Darwin on a flight to Singapore...

The Sunday Sport. I'm ashamed that my country produced such a filthy rag of a newspaper. The headlines were mildly amusing, but the rest of the content was essentially soft porn.

Actually, the soft porn might be the most socially redeeming part.

Sounds like "The Sun"

In Manchester, the Daily Star was advertised at launch with the slogan "More nipples than The Sun"

It was also inadvertently responsible for a new standard in English law: the Morning Star sued on the grounds that the name of the new paper was too similar to their own. The judge ruled that "only a moron in a hurry" could possibly confuse the two...
"Cheer up!" they said. "It could be worse!" they said.
So I did.
And it was.
