I renew Clavius.org on the five-year plan.  They start sending me letters and emails six months in advance.

It's also possible to set domains to auto-renew. That's what I do.

The reason the AH website uses a .net domain is because the original owner took off and let the .com expire, so it would be pretty embarrassing if I let that happen again.
