WW2 and a couple Incredible bomber collisions
« on: June 24, 2020, 03:32:20 PM »
I’ve read quite a lot about the B-17 when I was younger but was completely unaware of this incident. At first I thought it was a practical joke but it really did happen. Even more incredible is a similar incident happened in Australia in 1940 with 2 Anson medium bombers with an amazing landing:

Hard to believe that it happened twice in just a little over a 4 year time span. Did a quick search but it doesn’t seem like it ever happened before or since. Not surprised. I can’t even begin to imagine the odds of it happening in the first place never mind twice in such a relatively short time span. Truth really can be stranger than fiction sometimes.

Awesome.
