This is a humdinger of a YouTube video. The title is a direct quote, by the way.

Quote
The scientific community is telling us what the moon orbit orbit should be and the world has no choice but to accept.

Quote
Don't quote the established figures and equations because I know them and don't accept them

Prove him wrong? You can't.

I paused it to take a breath about 40 seconds in when he said we observe the Moon every night.

His diagram clearly isn't to scale for a start.

I'm lost.  What does he mean the full moon is only observable for 3 hours?

I give up.

It's not even wrong, is it?

The lunar orbit is elliptical, so I presume his assumption that it's circular would account for the observation's in the video.

It's not THAT elliptical.  He's just talking nonsense.

Also, his diagram is not to scale giving a misleading notion of when the Moon is visible.

For better or for worse (probably for the better) the sound is not working for me.  So I'll just ignore him.

I know this is meant as humour, but it's really, really creepy in light of certain historical events and attitudes.

It almost makes me feel sorry for NSA employees, as they'd have to watch YouTube in order to calibrate their program.

Maybe that explains the current situation with Snowden?

I kept waiting for the Rick Roll......

It doesn't have the look of one of hunchbacked's videos, but it sure sounds like his reasoning...  so far off on so many points it's almost impossible to correct him.

  • There is no such thing as a stupid question
I suppose mentioning the Roche Limit to him would only be thrown out as well, as it is part of the scientific establishment that he has rejected completely...

Edit: I just searched for that video on YouTube and can't find it - did he/she pull it? I was curious to see if any comments had been added...

Here you go http://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=RmOHRQeE_5o, but be warned, it's a exceptionally dumb, even for YouTube.

I've been blocked from posting comments. Which is a shame  ;D

Anigma? Shouldn't that be O'Nigma? "A Moon for the Misbesotten," by Eugene O'Nigma?
