The Big Announcement
« on: July 12, 2013, 08:18:05 AM »
We leave for the hospital in forty-five minutes.  Women my age aren't generally allowed to go much past their due dates before being induced, and mine was yesterday.  I figure I'll let everyone know in advance; even if everything goes according to plan, I should be offline until tomorrow at the earliest.  See everyone then--and, yes, I will post at least one picture.

All the best ;)
"Cheer up!" they said. "It could be worse!" they said.
So I did.
And it was.

Haven't gotten pictures off the camera yet, but there is a baby.  Simon Alexander, born at 11:21 Friday morning.  Eight pounds, fourteen ounces, and 21 inches.

Congratulations, Gillianren. I'm very happy for you. I love the name.

Hey, if someone not-sleep deprived wants to do the conversion, that's fine.

The only proper way to describe a newborn (some traditions should never change)  :)

Congrats Gillianren!  Glad all is well.
