Accumulative Radiation Dosages in Medical Examinations.
« on: March 16, 2015, 06:00:20 AM »
I know there are a few on here who have some knowledge of this subject. Now my wife thinks I am being a bit paranoid but the story is this. Having had kidney cancer I have had several CT scans in the last few months and have to have them every six months. Now I have a problem with my hip and shoulder and have to have two x-rays on my shoulder and two more on my hip. What is the risk, if any, of the accumulative effect of so many x-rays?

This:

seems to say you shouldn't worry - the risk of having them is less than the risk of not :D
