There will be a talk today (Wednesday, 8 April 2015):
 
“…featuring Glynn Lunney, Former NASA Flight Director and Director of Mission Operations.  The title of his presentation is “Highways into Space”.  A first-hand account of the beginnings of the human space program.
 
Glynn Lunney is a recipient of the Medal of Freedom - awarded by President Nixon, to the whole Mission Operations Team after helping return Apollo 13 back to earth safely.  Glynn began his career with the space program in 1958 with the NACA and the Space Task Group. He supported Project Mercury in Mission Control as one of the first Flight Dynamics Officers in Mission Control and was named as a Flight Director in Aug. 1964 supporting Gemini and Apollo missions, including Apollo 13. He also served as the technical director for the Apollo/Soyuz Test Project and manager of the Space Shuttle Program…”
